Artists: Lean into Your Leadership Potential
As we gain more experience in our creative work, we often end up with chances to go into leadership. Leading a team can feel very different than being an artist on a team and that can be intimidating. But we need talented, strong, kind leaders just like you! So if you’re thinking about taking on a management position, but aren’t sure if you’re ready; or if you’ve recently stepped up into leadership and want some support, this circle is for you!
In this circle, we’ll talk about how to become the kind of manager we all wish we had. We’ll discuss things like:
- What it takes to be a leader in the workspace–the interpersonal skills you need, the perspective of a someone managing a team, and more.
- How to manage up and help your supervisors reach their goals while supporting your own team.
- How to create a safe space where artists can be their true selves and thrive.
- What it’s like to balance communication styles and team dynamics
- And more!
This circle is great for creatives who have several years of professional experience who are looking to start managing teams, or have recently started a management/leadership position.
