Beyond Your First Job: Driving Your Career, Creating Your Path
So you have your foot in the door and you’re maybe a couple of years into your career in the industry. It’s so exciting to make these first steps, but it can also be confusing to figure out how to take the next ones.
Learning the skills required for your job is one part of the puzzle for a successful career, but what about all the other stuff that they don’t teach you on the job? What about the skills and knowledge that you need to be able to navigate your own path and create a career that fulfills your goals/values/aspirations? How do you learn all those things? Luckily, this circle is here to help you fill in those missing pieces.
In this circle, we will talk about how to:
- Advocate for yourself and your interests.
- Create a career path that feels authentic to you.
- Find projects that are meaningful to you.
- Set yourself up for success in whatever position you’re in.
- Move between studios/production companies/projects
