Programs

In response to the animation community’s need for high-quality, consistent professional growth opportunities and tools for career advancement.  WIA created several programs aimed at actively tearing down the barriers faced by creatives of underrepresented gender identities within the industry.

Mentorship

We bring together the global animation community to empower and advocate for people of underrepresented gender identities in the art, technology, production, and business of animation.

Leadership Institute

The WIA Mentorship program connects people of underrepresented gender identities at all levels to great mentors who can help them achieve their career goals/the next steps in their careers.

Career Resource Center

Our career development programs are designed to bring animation professionals and employers together through our job boards, talent database, recruiter directory, and more.

Legacy & Archives

The mission of the WIA Legacy & Archives program is to educate and inspire today’s women while honoring and preserving our predecessors by looking back to see where we started and how far we’ve come.

Scholarship

The WIA Scholarship Program is devoted to furthering the academic efforts of deserving animation students who demonstrate artistic talent, a passion for animation, a financial need, and a promising future in our industry.

Stories X Women

This WIA  program supports access to opportunities for women animators from emerging film and animation communities of Africa, Asia-Pacific, and Latin America who want to tell their authentic stories.

Research

Collaborative research studies have been groundbreaking, significantly helping advance DEI efforts by identifying gaps in the animation and VFX industries.
