APPLICATION PROCESS & REQUIREMENTS

1. QUESTIONNAIRE

Express interest by reaching out to WIA and fill out the initial questionnaire.

2. STUDENT MEMBERS

Recruit at least 10 students as club members who are also active WIA student members. Open to female, non-binary male-identifying and transgender students.

3. ELECTING OFFICERS

Among all student members, student leaders/officers are selected. Open to female, non-binary and male-identifying students. The positions include but are not limited to:

    1. President
    2. Vice-President
    3. Treasurer
    4. Secretary
    5. Event Manager
    6. Marketing Manager
    7. Membership Manager… etc.

4. FACULTY ADVISOR

Find a faculty advisor to oversee the student club for the current academic year. Open to female, non-binary, and male-identifying students.

5. SCHOOL BYLAWS

Make sure this club is recognized by the school as an official student club with clear bylaws.

6. CLEAR GOALS AND PLANNINGS

Define the club goals and plans for events and activities while keeping 50/50 by 2025 in mind.

7. WIA BOARD APPROVAL

Must be approved by WIA’s Board to become an official student club by submitting the application and all necessary documents:

  • WIA Student Club Application
  • School approved club bylaws and application
  • A photo collage of the student leaders

RENEWALS

To renew, the WIA student club must be in good standing for all the steps outlined above to renew the status for future academic years.
