As a former US Army Linguist who married into the world of Animation, I often equated the feeling of the “Army Family” to the feeling of the “Animation Family.” Almost everyone is a transplant and no matter where you go you know someone from your animation past, so people band together to create a special support network. It really is a small world. After a 17-year hiatus from my professional career to raise 7 kids (4 boys, 3 girls), I was excited to join the WIA team. As the Program Manager I continue helping to make space in the industry to expand our animation family to include members of underrepresented communities. Every day, I get to work with recruiters and mentors that inspire me and make me feel grateful to be a “part of this world.”
Outside of WIA, I am an expert taxi driver, Korean speaker, PTA member, ASL learner and have a pack of 3 pups that keep me exponentially busy and happy!
