Sachi Ezura
Sachi Ezura is the Vice President of Adult Animation for the MTV
Entertainment Group, developing animated projects for Comedy Central
and Paramount+. Throughout her career, she has sought to elevate new
voices from underrepresented communities and challenge systems to
promote equity and inclusion. She has worked as a producer for NY
Public Radio, MTV, Refinery29, and Jax Media. She came up in
television development at MTV2, where she oversaw casting for MTV’s
hit comedy series Girl Code and Guy Code, and at IFC, where she helped
launch Documentary Now! as well as IFC’s digital platform, Comedy
Crib. She ran development for the short-lived digital comedy site
Seriously.TV, specializing in the intersection of comedy, politics,
and social justice. A lifelong lover of comedy, she has produced live
comedy shows in NY for over a decade and studied improv at the Upright
Citizens Brigade Theater. In her spare time, she co-founded The Belly,
a collective for female and queer comedy directors.
