Location: 100% remote
Minimum Commitment: 1-3 hours per week; must commit to at least 6 months of service; can be done outside of normal business hours
About the Role
We’re looking for a volunteer to add to our small but dedicated team to assist in the development of social media content that inspires and excites WIA community members, donors, and other stakeholders. A successful WIA volunteer is self-motivated, organized, inclusive, flexible, and responsible. They’ll thrive with a sense of humor, a passion for the mission, and good judgment.

Volunteer Responsibilities
- Craft compelling social media content that supports WIA social media campaigns
- Search social media for relevant content to share on WIA social channels
- Identify relevant content from partner organizations
- Maintain regular communication with the WIA Communications Team to ensure deadlines are met, and campaigns are successfully completed and launched
- Stay on top of the latest animation trends on social media
- Data entry
- Other duties as assigned
Skills and experience
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Great judgment and critical thinking
- Highly organized
- Team player
- Working proficiency with the Google Suite
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Top candidates for the role will
- have demonstrated strong, proven content creation skills
- have the ability to write concise, engaging captions/posts that follow WIA voice and guidelines
- be able to identify and leverage current social media trends
- have a professional background, education, or demonstrated interest in Animation, Visual Effects, or Gaming
- be able to effectively connect their work with WIA’s mission
