Caroline Gilmour

Caroline Gilmour heads the Voice Department at The Characters Talent Agency, in Vancouver, CANADA. A National Agency with offices in Toronto (50+yrs), Vancouver (30+) and Calgary (7), CTA represents many of Canada’s leading actors. Caroline’s background in theatre through education and practice inspired her to adventure West to Vancouver in 1997. Soon after her arrival, she began what was to be a 6yr apprenticeship with the Voice and Commercial Department at Characters, before returning to production and academia while achieving her Masters in Drama at the University of Toronto. On the verge of returning to professional theatre and making space for writing, Caroline found herself instead working with top level Toronto actors, now with a specific focus on voice performance. Since returning to Vancouver and CTA in 2007, Animation has become and continues to be a dynamic and leading force in her business. Caroline hails from Nova Scotia and has been thriving on working with a diverse group of actors who ‘play to the back of the house’ for a little over 25yrs!
