ABOUT JENA OLSON
Deputy Director | She/Her
As a social justice advocate, feminist, and artist with 20 years of professional experience in nonprofits, WIA is my perfect professional match. In my role as Deputy Director, I oversee the staff and programs to ensure effective implementation of WIA’s mission. Prior to joining WIA, I supported mission-driven organizations both large and small, including Kid Spark Education, the University of Wisconsin, San Diego Youth Symphony, and The AjA Project.
I hold a BA in Gender & Women’s Studies and Political Science from the University of Wisconsin and an MA in Nonprofit Leadership and Management from the University of San Diego. I’m also a proud graduate of the Social Justice Training Institute and am trained in community engagement and group facilitation.
Outside of work, you’ll find me creating mixed media art, reading, training for a half marathon, or planning my family’s next adventure abroad.
