CIRCLE DESCRIPTION

This circle is designed for working artists who want to transition or expand their skills to work as background painters, color designers, and visual development artists. This circle will help you build a color-focused portfolio and deepen your understanding of the animation pipeline.

Circle Leader

Olivia Pecini

Olivia Pecini is an illustrator, animator, and writer based in Los Angeles.

Currently, Olivia is a background painter on Disney’s Big City Greens. Previously she has background painted on shows such as Tuca and Bertie, Fairfax, Mulligan, and The Midnight Gospel. Though she specializes in backgrounds she has also worked as a storyboard artist, story revisionist, and color designer. She is an active member of the Television Academy.

When she’s not drawing, she is working on her own screenplays and comics. Most recently she was the colorist for an upcoming DC graphic novel, Girl Taking Over: A Lois Lane Story and illustrates for publications such as The New Yorker. ​​​​​​
