Just a gal who is an introvert, quiet and reserved, from a small town in South Texas, my journey started when I left my hometown to study Television & Film at the University of Texas in Austin. I spent my first year crying, struggling with imposter syndrome, and the many challenges that come with being a first-generation student. How was I supposed to get a career in Animation, of all things? When I returned for my second year, I knew I had two options – stay in my bubble or step out of it. I chose the latter, and by the end of that year, I began working professionally in the gaming industry.

I have since (thanks to the wonderful team at CGBot!) worked with many clients such as Ubisoft, Electronic Arts, Gearbox Software, and more, managing communication with them and production deliveries. Soon after graduating, I began working as a Production Assistant at Powerhouse Animation, eventually working my way up to where I am now as the studio’s Outsource Manager. In this role, I focus on the studio’s external production needs and help the internal production team wherever possible. I have worked on a number of animated titles with the studio, some being Castlevania: Nocturne, Skull Island, and Masters of the Universe: Revelations. I now reside in Pennsylvania and am also an Adjunct Instructor at Pennsylvania College of Art & Design, teaching artists the power of soft skills, networking, and how to present their work in the best way possible.

When not working, I have too many hobbies. Personal favorites are writing, reading, playing games, and being outdoors. Still, occasionally, I’ll spend many hours building music playlists, falling down a food history rabbit hole, plotting my graphic novel, watching seasonal anime, committing to yoga, being a cat mom… all that amongst my other 100 hobbies. I stay busy, and it keeps life fun!
