Circle Leader
Chantal Kassarjian
I am a Lebanese Armenian motion designer and animator based in Brooklyn, New York. My cultural heritage is intricately woven into my multifaceted artistic practice and the polemic subjects I choose to tackle. I hold a B.F.A. in Graphic Design from the American University of Beirut and an M.F.A. in Digital Animation and Motion Arts from Pratt Institute.
I am currently working as a Motion Graphics Artist for ABC News as part of Walt Disney Television, designing and animating graphics for their numerous TV shows. My independent work has gained critical acclaim in the international film festival circuit. My award-winning animated short film Recipe in Exile has traveled the world with over twenty screenings and numerous journalistic accolades worldwide. My work embodies my playful artistic process and conveys my love for illustration, typography, photomontage, and motion arts.
Whether exhibited on a screen, in an upscale Tribeca gallery, or on the Brooklyn sidewalks as street art for the Neighborhood Curbside Canvas Project, I use my art to create compelling visual experiences and tell stories that matter.
