Are you an aspiring 3D or VFX artist, eager to embark on your creative career but feeling a bit lost in the vast industry landscape? You know you want to work in this field, but you don’t know where to start or what steps to take next.
If so, join this circle, where we will help you uncover your path to success by helping you understand how the industry works, showing you the different options available, and empowering you to find the track that works for you and your goals.
In our fortnightly sessions, we’ll discuss topics including:
- The industry’s diverse employment options, from freelancing to working as an employee at animation studios, or VFX vendors
- The differences between small boutique shops and industry giants
- Remote work vs in-person work
- How to effectively search for and apply for jobs

Caroline Kiessling
My name is Caroline, and my journey in the world of Visual Effects and Computer Graphics took off in 2017 in the busy heart of London at The Third Floor. Since then, my path has led me through renowned studios such as Framestore, RISE FX, Electric Theatre Collective, Untold Studios, Image Engine Design Inc., and most recently, Walt Disney Animation Studios in Vancouver.
My career path has been anything but linear. I’ve seamlessly switched roles as a freelance artist and an employee, working on-site and remotely. I’ve worked on commercials, episodic formats, and feature films, moving between countries and continents.
Outside of my core work, I manage my own Etsy shop, specializing in Twitch streaming overlays. Additionally, I’ve built a small business as a treatment layouter and mood researcher, a role I love to engage in between gigs.
Beyond the technicalities, my passion lies in making this industry a more welcoming and inclusive place for everyone. Sharing insights and knowledge with my peers isn’t just about professional growth; it’s also about forging meaningful connections with fellow artists. I’m genuinely thrilled to extend my knowledge to new artists who are embarking on their creative journey.
