CIRCLE DESCRIPTION
Many aspiring artists dream of breaking into the animation industry, but learning a specialized skill like 2D rigging can feel daunting without guidance. In this mentorship circle, we’ll walk you through the basics of 2D rigging in Toon Boom Harmony step-by-step using a character design of your choice, so you can add this valuable skill to your portfolio. With hands-on practice and personalized feedback, you’ll build professional-quality rigs that help your portfolio stand out and get you closer to landing that dream job in animation.
It is required you have basic Toon Boom Harmony software skills.

Amber Owen (she/they) is a Creative Production Director based in New England, specializing in 2D rigged productions for animation across TV, games, and comics.
With a wealth of experience working on high-profile studio IPs like Nickelodeon’s Monster High, Rock Paper Scissors, and SpongeBob SquarePants, Amber has a deep understanding of 2D rigging workflows. She excels at creating dynamic, diverse, and expressive characters for fast-paced and demanding productions.
Amber is excited to share her expertise in 2D rigging and support aspiring artists as they break into the animation industry. She’s committed to helping mentees strengthen their portfolios and kickstart successful careers in 2D rigging and animation.
