Circle Leader
Mitch Stookey
I grew up in the Canadian prairies and moved to the West Coast to study Film, Video, and Integrated Media at Emily Carr University (2010) and never left. I have been editing video professionally for 17 years, I have taught video production and media literacy, I co-founded and ran a video production company for over a decade and in 2015 I found my way into the Animation industry and proceeded to fall deeply in love with it. After being a Lead Editor on multiple shows, I moved into a directing role and could not be happier. I absolutely love working in Animation — the people I work with, the projects I get to participate in, and being immersed in such a creative, fun, and rewarding field.
