CIRCLE DESCRIPTION

Have you ever wondered how a director or creative producer becomes one? How was your favorite show created? In this circle, we will explore the overall view of creative production and how new technologies will help us get our stories off the ground.

If you want to expand your opportunities and job prospects in animation specifically and are curious about the greater professional creative community, this is a circle for you! 

By the end of this circle, you will:

Circle Leader

Maria Mira

Maria, currently Head of Originals and Producer at Agora Studio, helps guide the development of originals, managing them through story, script, production, and release. Alongside her role, she is also working with Carlos Baena on the development of his first live action feature. 

Maria´s passion has always been to be part of stories that shape us. Born and raised in Spain. She started her career in theater and as a production secretary for film production companies. 

Maria, produced the acclaimed cinematic Watch Dogs Legion Tipping Point (2019) for Ubisoft as Head of Studio & Executive Producer at Pinkman TV. During this time, Maria originated the Oscar campaign for the awarded animated short film The Windshield Wiper (2022)

Maria has combined her passion for creative production and visual effects production management, working as VFX Producer on multiple titles like Shaun the Sheep Farmageddon (2019), The Gilded Age (2022), Spy Kids (2023) Avatar the last Airbender (2024), Moonfall (2021)… and at the awarded VR studio Future Lighthouse with a triple feature at the Venice Immersive in (2017). 

As a WIA & VES member, She is committed to helping more diverse people enter and succeed in the industry and finding ways to encourage their voices to not only be heard but listened to, creating an environment where everyone can do their best work.

She is a lover of analog photography, so when you can not find her producing stories she might be working in her lab.
