CIRCLE DESCRIPTION
This circle will focus on the process of interpreting a screenplay to visuals.
An in-depth look at live-action, photography, animation (CG, 2D, stop-motion), architecture, costume/creative design, and graphic design. There will be some group work creating mood boards, group sketching sessions, color keys, and guest speakers in the field of animation/film.
This is not in place of an online school, but rather building an encouraging network with other artists and honing your professional process, which will hopefully extend toward your future career.
Qualification Criteria
Entry Level (1-2 yrs of experience)
Early Career (3-5 yrs of experience)
Mid Level (6-10 yrs of experience)

ADDITIONAL Application requirementS
All applicants must submit the following:
- Portfolios (no applicant will be considered without an online website)
- A Personal statement including:
- A paragraph highlighting your biography and your expectations of what you would like from the circle should also be included

I am a freelance Concept and Storyboard Artist for over 20 years. Some of my credits include Black Panther 1 & 2, Nightmare Alley, Crimson Peak, Thor Ragnarok, Pacific Rim, Spiderman: Homecoming, Godzilla, Suicide Squad, and Guillermo del Toro’s upcoming Dr. Frankenstein film.
Projects out of film: presentations for the permanent dinosaur exhibit for the Smithsonian, Metropolitan Museum of Art’s new Afro-futurism exhibit, a Beyonce Music Video, and concept design for the Broadway production The Wiz (2024).
