CIRCLE DESCRIPTION
Are you an artist or other industry professional facing challenging times and seeking ways to research and expand your opportunities? Do you want to learn how to network effectively, both in-person and remotely? Are you interested in building resilience, creating your own content, and finding new or alternative job opportunities? Are you so focused on job hunting these days that you’re missing out on activities that bring you joy? If so, this circle is for you.
In this mentorship circle, we’ll discuss:
- Exploring various opportunities to bridge employment gaps, such as government programs, jobs outside the industry, and private enterprise like teaching, marketing, etc.
- Networking strategies to help you build meaningful professional relationships
- Tips for networking remotely, including the best practices for using LinkedIn
- Insights from guest speakers who will share their experiences and advice
- Building resilience to navigate and overcome challenges in your career
- How to create your own content to showcase your skills and keep your creative juices flowing
- Techniques for connecting to activities and hobbies that make you happy and reduce stress
This mentorship is ideal for professionals and artists with some industry experience looking to expand their horizons, build resilience, and find new opportunities during these challenging times we’re facing as an industry. Join us to gain the guidance, knowledge, and support needed to thrive and succeed in your artistic journey and career.

Circle Leader
Lan Lamon
Lan Lamon is a freelance film and television Producer and Consultant with over 30 years experience in Animation, Live Action, Multi/Mixed Media, Web, Interactive and new Digital Medias. She has worked on and produced Award Winning content for kids and families, with such classic and notable productions as “Scholastic’s The Magic School Bus,” “Franklin,” “Babar,” “The Backyardigans,” “Max and Ruby,” “The Berenstain Bears,” “6Teen”, and many others. She has been the Director of Operations for a busy animation studio, and a Supervising Producer, with an emphasis on mentorship and nurturing career development and growth for production professionals and artists.
Lan has her own freelance media production company offering production, project management, digital marketing and business services. She also manages a 50-acre working farm. She’s an animal lover (especially dogs!), and enjoys cooking, gardening, and long walks in the great outdoors.
