CIRCLE DESCRIPTION
This circle is aimed at mentees currently working in tech who would like to pivot toward an artist role. Early in my career, I made the jump from a QA engineer at a pharmaceutical software company to an entry-level job at Industrial Light and Magic. Six years later I transitioned from a TD role to directing animated shorts. Switching industries can be a stressful prospect and I’d like to share my experience and perspective on how I have handled it (and what I wish I had known!)

Haili Fransham is an animation director based in Los Angeles, CA. She directed the animated shorts featured on Skybound Entertainment’s “The Walking Dead: Last Mile” on Facebook Live and is currently hard at work on personal projects. Prior to her work in animation, she worked at Industrial Light & Magic in San Francisco. With a background in VFX, Performance Capture and Virtual Production, Haili is passionate about projects that blend cutting edge technology and art.
