CIRCLE DESCRIPTION

The Line Producer is a key role in any animated production. In this circle, we will discuss the specific role of a Line Producer in 2D animation—TV and Feature—and how to step up into it.

In this mentorship circle, we’ll talk about things like:

  • Role and responsibilities of a Line Producer
  • Working alongside your Director
  • Budgeting and Scheduling for 2D productions (TV Series & Features)
  • Line-by-line analysis of a Budget

This circle is great for experienced Production Coordinators and Production Managers who are ready to take the next step in their career or first-time Line Producers. The ideal candidate will have at least completed 2-3 productions as a Production Manager (or similar experience), have a good knowledge of Excel/Google Sheets, and be familiar with the 2D animation pipeline.

Circle Leader

Anne-Flore Aussant

Anne-Flore is a French producer and a graduate of Gobelins, l’Ecole de l’Image where she studied Production Management in 2012. The same year, she joined Cartoon Saloon and worked as Production Manager and Line Producer. There, she worked on multiple projects, including the award-winning TV series Puffin Rock (seasons 1 and 2), Pete the Cat, and an unannounced TV series for AppleTV+, as well as the Oscar-nominated features Song of the Sea and The Breadwinner. Since then, she has worked internationally for studios like Flying Bark in Sydney, Australia (Rise of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turles, Lego Monkie Kid) and Gao Shan Pictures in La Réunion, France. She’s currently Line Producer on Cartoon Saloon’s next feature, Julian, directed by Louise Bagnall.
